Chris Evans and Alba Baptista say ‘I do’ in a secret ceremony with Marvel co-stars as guests

The Captain America star and the Warrior Nun actress tied the knot in a private estate in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, on Saturday, according to multiple sources. The wedding was attended by some of their famous friends, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt.

The couple, who reportedly started dating in 2021, kept their relationship low-key and rarely made public appearances together. They confirmed their romance in November 2022, when they were spotted holding hands in New York City. Evans, 42, and Baptista, 26, also shared some sweet photos and videos of each other on social media, showing their love and humor.

The wedding was a tightly guarded affair, with guests signing NDAs and giving up their phones to ensure privacy. The nuptials were followed by a cozy celebration at the couple’s Boston-area home, where they posed for photos with their family and friends.

Evans and Baptista have not yet commented on their marriage, but fans and colleagues have congratulated them on social media. Evans’ Marvel co-star Mark Ruffalo wrote on Instagram: “Congratulations to the newlyweds! You two are amazing together.” Baptista’s Warrior Nun co-star Toya Turner also posted: “So happy for you guys! You deserve all the happiness in the world.”

Evans is best known for playing Steve Rogers/Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while Baptista is a rising star who made her English-language debut in Netflix’s Warrior Nun. They are both set to appear in upcoming projects, with Evans starring in Ghosted opposite Ana de Armas and Baptista starring in Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris opposite Jason Isaacs.
