Khushi is a 2023 Telugu romantic comedy film written and directed by Shiva Nirvana. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and stars Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles, along with Jayaram, Rahul Ramakrishna, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma and Vennela Kishore in supporting roles. The film was released on September 1, 2023 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages1.

The story revolves around Viplav (Vijay Deverakonda), a BSNL employee who falls in love with Aradhya (Samantha), a corporate professional in iLabs Centre and a Brahmin girl. Viplav and Aradhya get married against their parents’ wishes and soon face relationship problems, along with insecurities, jealousy and other factors. The film explores how they overcome their differences and find happiness in each other.

The film is a refreshing and heartwarming rom-com that showcases the chemistry between Vijay and Samantha. The duo delivers a charming performance and makes the audience root for their love story. Vijay plays the role of a simple and sincere guy who is madly in love with Samantha, who portrays the role of a smart and independent woman who has her own ambitions and aspirations. The film also has some hilarious moments that make the audience laugh out loud, especially the scenes involving Jayaram, who plays Vijay’s father-in-law, and Vennela Kishore, who plays Vijay’s friend.

The film also has some emotional scenes that touch the heart, especially the climax scene where Vijay and Samantha confess their love for each other in front of their families. The film also has a message about respecting each other’s choices and supporting each other’s dreams.

The film has a melodious soundtrack composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, with songs like “Na Roja Nuvve”, “Aradhya”, “Kushi Title Song”, “Yedhaki Oka Gaayam” and “Osi Pellama”. The songs are well sung by Hesham Abdul Wahab, Chinmayi, Sid Sriram, Haricharan and Shreya Ghoshal. The songs are also well picturized and suit the mood of the film. The cinematography by Murali G. is colorful and captures the essence of Hyderabad city.

The film is not without its flaws, though. The film is a bit predictable and follows the usual tropes of a rom-com. The film also has some clichéd scenes and characters, such as the stereotypical parents, the villainous uncle, the loyal sidekicks and the melodramatic twists. The film could have been shorter and crisper, as it drags in some parts.

Overall, Khushi is a fun-filled romantic comedy that will make you smile and feel good. It is a perfect watch for those who love romance, comedy and drama. It is a film that celebrates love, friendship and happiness.
